2024 Year in review

With 2024 well and truly over, it's time to take a look back at the year that was.

Publishing

It was the quietest year yet for the blog with only a couple of articles published. Much of my time this past year was spent learning and growing professionally.

The purpose of this blog is to share things I think others might find helpful. However, this past year, I haven't felt like I've had much to share.

Despite the quiet year, I managed to put out a couple of articles, in reverse chronological order:

Open Source

A big chunk of 2024 was spent working on my pbipy project, adding new features and expanding coverage of the Power BI REST API. There's a few endpoints left to cover, which I'll continue to chip away at.

The library saw five new releases in 2024, and the same number of new contributors, which was great. It's fantastic to see the library bringing value and solving problems for others.

Thoughts on 2025

With 2025 almost halfway done, a significant change for me involves switching from working in Databricks to Snowflake, which should provide me with more inspiration for writing.

Thanks for reading in 2024!
